BPCL: State owned oil marketing company BPCLBSE -2.68 % on Monday reported a decline of 12.96 per cent in its net profit for the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2016-17. According to the OMC, its net profit during the quarter under review declined to Rs 1,841.68 crore from Rs 2,116.03 crore reported in the corresponding period of 2015-16.

Coal India: State miner Coal IndiaBSE -1.96 % on Monday posted a 38 per cent fall in net profit for the fourth quarter ended March at Rs 2,716 crore caused by lacklustre power demand, falling realisations from e-auctions and efforts to keep prices below international levels. It had posted a profit of Rs 4,398 crore in the same period of last year.

Aurobindo BSE 8.64 % Pharma: The pharma company on Monday posted a 4 per cent dip in consolidated net profit at Rs 532.22 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 2017. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 554.51 crore during the same period of the previous fiscal.

Power Grid BSE -2.30 % Corporation: State-owned Power Grid Corporation of IndiaBSE -2.30 % on Monday announced a 22.17 increase in its standalone net profit for the fourth quarter ended March at Rs 1,916.36 crore, compared with Rs 1,568.58 crore in the same period of 2015-16.

BHEL: State-run BHEL’s standalone net profit declined by 57 per cent to Rs 215.55 crore in the fourth quarter ended March, due to lower income and provisions for higher wages. The company had posted a standalone net profit of Rs 505.71 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal.

Larsen & Toubro: Engineering and construction conglomerate Larsen & Toubro (L&T) registered a 29.5 per cent jump in consolidated net profit to Rs 3,025 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2017. The company which said government’s thrust on key infrastructure sectors will be strong driver for stable economic growth, had clocked a consolidated net profit of Rs 2,335 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal.

Jubilant FoodWorks: The company on Monday reported a 75.88 per cent fall in standalone net profit at Rs 6.71 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2017. Jubilant FoodWorksBSE -6.42 % had posted a net profit of Rs 27.83 crore in the corresponding period of previous fiscal.

Earnings today: Aries Agro, Bajaj Healthcare, Bhushan SteelBSE -2.47 %, BBTC, DB Realty, Finolex CablesBSE -0.12 % and Fortis HealthcareBSE -0.46 % will announce their financial results for the quarter ended March 31, 2017 on Tuesday.

SJVN: State-run SJVN Ltd posted a 93 per cent jump in standalone net profit at Rs 281.25 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2017. The company’s net profit was at Rs 145.53 crore in the corresponding quarter of 2016, SJVN Ltd said in a BSE filing today.
